Growth Bodes Well for Steamboat Springs in Latest Census

As census data begins to find the light of day, our suspicions about Steamboat Springs and Routt county are confirmed.  We’ve grown!  Routt County has seen a population increase of 19% to 23,509 from 19,690 people.  While the state average mimics Routt County at 17%, Steamboat Springs experienced  23% growth.  Compare that to Aspen at 13%, Vail at 17% and Durango at 21% and one could surmise that during the last decade people have begun to discover what many of us already understand….that is, Steamboat is great place to live, raise a family, and recreate!
