Steamboat Springs Real Estate Sales April 19-25

Yes, it was spring break for the Steamboat Springs schools last week…the town was deafeningly quiet.  In spite of everyone having escaped to a beach somewhere, except for me and 39 others (fictitious number, FYI…but seemed that way), somehow those 39+ people managed to close $6,954,110 in real estate including a 6800 square foot home at Catamount Ranch and Club furnished turnkey (and I mean furnished) for $3.1 million.  That’s pretty good for a slow week.

Also, the Barn Village , located between town and the mountain, plans to roll out it’s offering with the new owners and prices on lots .  These lots are priced well, starting around $250K for a small single family lot up to around $550K for an estate lot on the creek.

The Routt County Assessor, Gary Peterson, reported at the local Brokers’ MLS meeting this week that the bottom appears to have occured around November 2011 through the first quarter of 2012.  Congratulations to everyone who purchased homes and property during that period.  Property valuations will reflect that bottom, even as the market has seriously moved away from it.

Thinking real estate?  It’s never to late to live and own in paradise!  Call or email and let’s talk.
