Resort Quest International, who offers rental services for over 6000 condos, houses, and other vacation units in six US markets, including Steamboat Springs, is being purchased by Wyndham Worldwide Corporation. According to Bloomberg News from the nj.com blog, Stephen Holmes, Chairman and CEO of Wyndham says the deal should probably be completed by the end of the month.
The significance for Steamboat is Resort Quest manages 13 distinctive Steamboat properties. Outside of the Steamboat market, they manage properties in Park City, UT, Hilton Head, SC, and Northwest Florida.
Although Wyndham is the largest player throughout Europe in the vacation rental product market, they wanted to break in to the $10 billion US market where there are no “big players” according to Holmes.
Steamboat Springs, Colorado, condos and townhomes currently managed by Resort Quest include Bronze Tree, Cascades, Clocktower, ElkRun, Evergreens, Gondola Square, Ironwood, Meadows, Snowflower, Stonewood, Storm Meadows, Torian Plum, and Trappeur’s Crossing.
If you need information on any of these condos or townhomes, or any other offerings in the Steamboat area, don’t hesitate to call.
